During the Global Peace Summit in Switzerland, which took place on June 15-16, the participants agreed on a common position on three points: food security, nuclear and energy security, and the release of all captured and deported Ukrainian men and women, adults and children abducted by Russia. Key principles on these elements for a just and lasting peace are set out in the Joint Communiqué on the Foundations of Peace

Josep Borrell: At #UAPeaceSummit Leaders from 100 countries and international organisations sent a strong message supporting that a comprehensive, just and lasting peace in Ukraine must be based on UN Charter and International Law. I support the Joint Communiqué reflecting this consensus.
